Shane Fox is a reputable and experienced Business Broker who commenced his business broking career in 2003 under the leadership of past AIBB President and founding member Garth Griffiths. Shane decided to follow his passion for business and people and develop his career as a business broker after selling his very successful telecommunications business 15 years ago.
Since this time, Shane has established himself as one of NSW’S leading business brokers and today sits as a Director on the Board of Lake Macquarie Business Chamber. He was also formally a Director for the Newcastle Junior Business Chamber.
In 2017, Shane was awarded the prestigious “Business Leader of the Year” award by the Hunter Region Business Hub. The Merchant team were also thrilled to have been finalists in the region’s premier business excellence awards (the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence awards and also the Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards) in the following categories: Best New Business, Best Digital Technology. Merchant are also extremely proud to have won the awards in the following categories: Business Leader of the Year, and Financial & Real Estate Services.
Shane has been instrumental in the successful sale of many hundreds of business sales for his clients. He has a passion for small business, and an intimate knowledge of the Newcastle and Hunter Valley business economy and is often called and sought after for advice.
Shane is a trusted business professional in the region and in the broader business broking community and is well-regarded in the community by business owners, peers and professionals such as accountants and solicitors who are a consistent source of referrals.
Shane has always enjoyed economics, business law and marketing. He has a passion for helping people and loves small business so it is no surprise that he has combined those areas of study and interest to create a successful career in business broking.
