Growing up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and relocating to the ACT in the late 70s with his family, Baz had accumulated a wealth of knowledge in family owned businesses, as he worked after school helping his family business, whilst gaining an education. Upon completing his Business Management Diploma, he opened his first business (Deli/Café) in the ACT and from there began his own business portfolio including a Sports Bar, Bottle shop and Night Club just to name a few.
In 1995 Baz, his wife and 2 children, relocated to the Gold Coast, where he worked as a Business Broker for over 3 years, successfully bringing buyers and sellers together and sold over 40 businesses in that time.
In 1998, he purchased a cafe in Tedder Avenue, Main Beach, and successfully owned and operated 3 other various Restaurants/Cafes on the Gold Coast in the last 15 years. During this period he has also held various positions of Director / General Manager for a Wholesale/Manufacturing and Distribution companies working closely with the Hospitality industry. Many of these organisations required skills in business valuations; business process re-engineering, assessing risk management and value added analysis as well as long term strategic planning and Business Development.
His previous employment history, in the hospitality industry, has also included roles in human resources/customer service, directing and implementing education, training, organisational development, sales strategies, strategic process improvement, and talent management programs in business and years of experience as an account manager/marketing as a business development professional.
As a Business Specialist, one of the key strengths is his ability to use his extensive skills and experience in ANY industry/organisation and rapidly acquire knowledge to fulfil the desired outcome in selling your business.
Amounting over 30 years’ experience in the business world, Baz brings with him a wealth of knowledge in Retail, Hospitality and manufacturing from small to large business operations across the board.
